GREENVILLE, S.C., May 29, 2018 — Vulcan Materials Company — the nation’s foremost producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of other construction materials — has awarded Michelin North America, Inc., with two 2017 Supplier awards for two product categories. Michelin is the recipient of a 2017 Gold-level Supplier Survey award for off-road tires and a Platinum-level award for on-road tires. Michelin supplies Vulcan with a range of commercial and passenger tires for Vulcan’s manufacturing operations across the country.
This award is based on feedback from plant managers at each of Vulcan’s facilities. The site managers are asked to rate their strategic alliance suppliers’ overall value. A Platinum category award is achieved from suppliers receiving an average "overall" rating of four and higher.
